Dr. Patricia Ross is an English professor by training (Ph.D. NYU, 2004) and has owned her own company since 2001. She has done hundreds of writing workshops with business professionals throughout the front range. She has been editing professionally since 2006. In 2008, she was asked to start a publishing company and has never looked back. She has rewritten or ghostwritten over a hundred books since she started on her publishing path and has edited or coached many many more. She has published forty titles under her Hugo House label. Dr. C. Daniel Miller, Immediate Past Presidentdmillergif

Dr. Miller is a freelance consultant on the business of independent publishing, copyright clearance and protection, management of copyright permissions acquisition projects, project management of independent publishing, marketing and distribution of publications, technical editor, innovative project manager, and writer.

He is the co-founder and co-owner of Integrated Writer Services, LLC that provides freelance editorial services, rights acquisition services, and consultation regarding the publishing business to authors of books, periodical articles, web pages, reports, and proposals. IWS has provided consulting, editorial, and permissions acquisition services that helped turn 65+ writers into authors. Consulting services include recommending practices and procedures needed to create and operate a successful independent publishing business.

He formerly served as producer of Mario the Peddler Productions, marketing and distribution manager for Rockaway Press, and consultant on computer and telecommunications systems to architects. He was the former president of the Center for Educational Technologies, the executive director of NASA's Classroom of the Future, a university professor and academic department chair, an educational researcher and classroom teacher. He also served in the US Air Force as a radar technician.

Don Schmidt began his publishing career working for the NY Yellow pages (The Blue Books) directory publisher in the mid 1980s. Over the course of a career that is approaching thirty years, Don has had stints at Macmillan, Springer-Verlag, McGraw-Hill, Perseus Books Group and Random House. Don was formerly the Production Manager at ABC-CLIO, until 2013. In 2011, Don oversaw the completion of The World History Encyclopedia, a 21-Volume set that was in development and production for almost 10 years. This was the largest single project in ABC-CLIO history. Don completed his studies in the Pace University online Masters in Publishing Science Program (graduation was May, 2012 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City). Ann is president and CEO of Bristlecone Publishing which she launched in 2013 to publish a book written and illustrated by her granddaughter when she was 12. Ann is also president and CEO of Professional Practice Development, a healthcare marketing firm she started in 1982. She has been a member of CIPA since 2011.
