Curriculum

The table below groups topics for CIPA College classes into four major categories: pre-production, production, post-production, and professional. For example, much of the content in the section identified as "Manuscript Development" may be the most useful to someone who is in the pre-production phase of book production. The class designated as MAN200 would be most useful when someone is in the production of a book, and others such as MAN300 and MAN320 are going to be most helpful after a book is available for purchase. A couple of manuscript-related courses, MAN400 and MAN420, will be designed for people who are experienced with independent publishing and are ready to expand their business.

Classes that have already been taught are highlighted in cyan and new classes that are open for registration are linkable and highlighted in yellow. Recordings of a number of the classes that have been taught in 2011 are available as "Digital Downloads" and are so indicated and highlighted in pink.
